Every third Ukrainian graduate of Polish universities wants to leave for the West
Researcher Dr. Maryla Koss-Goryszewska claims that every third Ukrainian, upon completing their studies in Poland, intends to move further West. According to the study, Ukrainians prefer studying in Poland because living conditions in Ukraine do not satisfy them. Therefore, young people strive to obtain a diploma in one of the European Union countries.
The survey participants said that they study in Poland not so much because of the quality of education here, but because of the lower cost of living compared to other EU countries.
According to Yehor Stadny, director of the Ukrainian Center for Society Research, Ukrainian students integrate quickly in Poland, but even faster in the Czech Republic. Most often, Ukrainians study humanities, choosing fields in social sciences, law, and management.
As reported by Polskie Radio, a total of more than one thousand people participated in the study.
