All hotels have different levels of service, and accordingly, different degrees of comfort that you can expect. Let's briefly look at the differences between hotels based on the number of their "stars". But it should be noted right away that a hotel's "star rating" does not always correspond to the actual level of comfort, because in different countries the understanding of this rank is different.
Wherever you go, whatever country you choose, you will inevitably encounter the system of "stars" (or "keys", "crowns"), which inform about the level of comfort (exceptions are America and a number of other countries). And when it comes to service, it is worth keeping in mind not only the politeness and timely work of the staff, but also the exterior of the hotel.
Often, when you arrive at a hotel, you may not find traces of landscape designers' work, nor notice the work of a lawnmower on the hotel's lawns. And this has no less impact on the degree of comfort and overall impression of the vacation. So, hotels are:
- 1 star. Hotels with one star can claim the title of "paradise in a hut". The level of financial cost for such accommodation is minimal and the quality of services provided is corresponding. Presumably, the size of one room will not exceed 9 square meters, which may even be enough for a person not suffering from claustrophobia. At night, the doors of such a hotel are locked, so you should ask the porter to allow you to go out if you plan to go to some club.
- 2 stars. This is a more comfortable accommodation option where you can feel a bit more privileged. The view from the window may not be 100% consistent with the photo from the hotel's brochure, where trimmed lawns with a Bosch rotak lawnmower pleasantly contrast with the magical blue of the southern sky. But do not despair, because much in a "two-star" hotel will differ from a "one-star" – for example, the presence of a bathroom in the room, a bar, a cafe, and a dining room located inside the hotel.
- 3 stars. This option is the optimal price-quality ratio, which is why it is chosen by the majority of tourists as a place to stay. The enhanced comfort conditions in this room will make you less doubt that you are a VIP person. In such a hotel room there is air conditioning, a telephone, and a TV.
- 4 stars. But this option is for those who are "more bourgeois". The level of service in such rooms is at a different quality level. The interior of the rooms will please you with the designer's taste, and the varied meals will remind you of the slogan known from the Disney cartoon – "Hakuna Matata".
- 5 stars. If you have sufficient finances to rent a room in a "five-star" hotel, then you are very lucky – because you will never forget such a vacation. From the very beginning of your acquaintance with such a hotel, you will not remain indifferent to anything.
The exterior decoration of the territory will resemble the Garden of Eden rather than a hotel complex. A pristine lawn, treated using a Husqvarna lawnmower, on a well-designed plot, and a sea of flowers – that is what you will see upon entering the hotel. Furniture in "five-star" hotels is most often antique, and the level of service is stunning: sitting in a cozy restaurant and sipping Tokyo rum, the waiter will tirelessly refill your glass with such virtuosity that you won't even need to ask for anything.
