Germany expects a sharp increase in unemployment and a rise in mandatory payments for working residents of the country

Thus, according to information from «Русской Германии», as early as next year the number of Germany residents without jobs will increase by an average of 110,000, reaching 2.86 million. This will be the first increase in unemployment in the Federal Republic since 2013. According to German financiers, the number of unemployed will continuously increase until 2020, gradually reaching 3.1 million.

At the same time, contributions to public health insurance funds, which are already experiencing a serious financial deficit, will also increase. Thus, experts are confident that by 2020 the so-called «additional insurance contribution» levied since January 1, 2015 by all public funds will rise from the current 1.1% to 2.4%. By 2017, the contribution of working residents of Germany to long-term care insurance will also increase from 0.1% to 0.2%.

At the same time, as analysts note, depending on the financial situation of a particular fund, the increase in payments could become even greater. After all, if already today health insurance funds are short of 14.4 billion euros, then in 2020 this deficit will grow to 36.7 billion! Thus, in four years, a resident of Germany with an average gross salary of 3,000 euros per month will pay 329.25 euros in insurance, which is 42 euros more than at present.

Based on these figures, which are unpleasantly surprising for the Federal Government, experts propose to sharply increase public investment in the professional and educational integration of refugees. It is believed that this figure should be at least 3.5 billion euros annually. In particular, it is necessary to create an additional 100,000 places in kindergartens, which will cost 689 million euros. 120,000 new places in schools will cost another 1.28 billion euros. And for vocational training of 120,000 young refugees, at least 1.2 billion euros will have to be spent.

As experts emphasize, such «smart investments are sure to pay off double: both for the migrants themselves and for the German economy.»
