However, the set of offered services can differ significantly even among mini-hotels of the same price category. In this respect, such establishments are even more individual than large hotels. People often stay in mini-hotels to avoid the atmosphere of hustle and bustle that is so common in large hotels. Therefore, the main task of the interior of such establishments is to create an almost home-like level of comfort for guests.
As for the room furnishings, everything is quite standard, that is, similar to large hotels. Today, hotel furniture is widely available on the market. A bed, bedside tables, a wardrobe, a desk with a chair, possibly a TV stand and a mini-fridge, plus a combined bathroom (shower and toilet) – these will be quite sufficient for room occupants to feel comfortable.
If there is an on-site food service establishment, appropriate furniture should be selected for it. If it is a bar, then special bar furniture will be required. In budget mini-hotels, a common kitchen may be provided for catering. Tables and chairs for a café will be quite suitable for it, as well as, naturally, for the café itself if it will serve this function.
The situation is quite different with the design of public spaces, which is a somewhat more complex task. Mini-hotels typically have a smaller lobby than regular hotels, so bulky reception desks are not suitable for them. Therefore, you will need to opt for a mini-reception desk.
Pay special attention to staircases in the building, if any. Staircases should be comfortable for guests, that is, covered with carpet runners. Avoid excessively bright colors even in the interior of public spaces (not to mention the rooms) – they quickly become tiring.
