It is no secret that the most commonly used packaging is polyethylene bags. Regardless of whether it was handed out for free in a supermarket for carrying goods or specially purchased for wrapping a gift, most of these items perform two functions: convenient container and hidden advertising.
As for the container, everything is clear here, but an idea in marketing such as advertising a brand, company, services or goods using polyethylene bags appeared relatively recently, about 5-6 years ago.
The advantages of using bags with a logo as an advertising platform are obvious. First, minimal costs compared to other types of advertising. If you order bags with advertising in small quantities, for example, a run of 10-20 thousand, and distribute them to large stores in different areas of the city, the advertising depicted on them will be seen by approximately the same number of potential buyers as the bag run. And although someone will surely ignore the logos and inscriptions, someone will be interested, but with a small financial investment you can reach a very wide audience of future clients or customers.
Second, sold or used as packaging bags with a logo are an effective business card for a company selling goods or providing services. It has long been established that visual memory is the most developed sense of human perception. Using polyethylene bags with a company logo, the client will involuntarily remember the service of the store where they made purchases for some time. And, of course, originally designed branded accessories to some extent raise the status of a company or store above their competitors.
Depending on the purpose, there are two main technological methods of applying a logo to a high-pressure polyethylene bag: screen printing and flexography. Among various companies, the most popular are bags with a logo applied by screen printing. This is explained by the lower price compared to manufacturing by flexography. In this case, the run can be literally a couple of hundred. Such small runs of gift packaging are very convenient to order for various promotions or bonus sales, when an additional gift is included with the purchased product. Also, ordering small runs of bags with a company emblem is often done on the eve of significant holidays.
Flexography is a more expensive method of applying a logo and, as a rule, the run of such bags is at least 5-10 thousand. At the same time, the appearance of the product acquires a solid presentable look, sometimes embossing is even applied to its surface. Bags made by this method are mainly used as colorful gift packaging.
