Cross-marketing is a whole system of actions to attract consumers
The first promotion on the path to change was 'cross-marketing'. Simply put, cross-marketing is a whole system of actions to attract consumers in various directions simultaneously. A new program in marketing appeared due to the oversaturation of the modern market with all kinds of goods and services.
The essence is that several organizations agree, most often through an advertising agency, and conduct a joint advertisement. At the same time, the consumer gets the impression that they will kill two birds with one stone. For example, a sports goods store partners with a fitness club. And they run a promotion – say, when purchasing sports equipment for a certain amount, the buyer receives a free pass to the fitness club.
But, if you look at the methods of selling goods in large cities, many organizations simply indicate a discount on the product, and thereby sell products, albeit effectively, but at a loss.
The main rule of cross-marketing is that goods and services should be similar, but not completely identical. The combined organizations can cooperate temporarily, or fundamentally merge and create a new, larger enterprise.
In addition to cross-marketing, online stores have become widespread on the Internet, with fierce competition among them. Now, to sell their products, entrepreneurs have to monitor every slightest change in demand for goods.
Thus, solving a number of problems in marketing, as a tool for shaping needs, forms a new program, the meaning of which is a skillful assessment of the need and demand for manufactured goods. One can safely say that key human needs in the main global markets are fully satisfied.
