The study was conducted based on a survey of 70,000 passengers at 51 airports worldwide. As a result, only one US airport, located in Cincinnati, made it into the top ten. Sydney Airport, built in 2000, came in 10th place.
Dubai Airport, launched in 2000 and having served 16 million passengers last year, was recognized as the most convenient and efficient in the world. Passengers also appreciated the shops, eateries and ground transportation at this airport. Singapore Airport, which served 29 million passengers last year, received the highest score for the work of its staff, who are attentive and always ready to help.
Copenhagen Airport took 4th place, becoming the best in Europe. A big surprise was the success of Seoul Airport, also recently built. It came in 6th place in the ranking. Notably, none of the “monsters” (the English airport Heathrow, Tokyo's Haneda, the American O'Hare) was rated by the surveyed passengers.
The top ten airports are as follows: Dubai (UAE), Singapore, Hong Kong, Copenhagen (Denmark), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Incheon (South Korea), Athens (Greece), Vancouver (Canada), Cincinnati (USA), Sydney (Australia).
