For a New Year's trip this winter, I went to Finland. I went on vacation with my mom and friends. We had a big, cheerful group. We arrived in the cold country early in the morning, so we had the whole day to get acquainted and understand how everything works here. The main purpose of the trip was snowboarding and, of course, relaxation. When we saw the facade of the hotel where we would be staying, we immediately realized: the vacation would be great.
The next day, after a good sleep and rest, we set off to the ski slopes in full gear. Upon arrival, putting on skis or snowboards on our feet, our group rushed to the lifts. To start, since no one had ridden in a long time, and some didn't know how at all, we went up a small hill thirty meters long. After sliding down and remembering how to ride, everyone went to the lifts that carried people to higher points of the mountain.
While riding the lift, you could see people of different genders and ages conquering the slope using their mode of transport. When we finally reached the top of the mountain, a beautiful view opened before us. We were above the clouds. Looking down, it felt like you were looking at a large frozen body of water covered in snow. It was wonderful.
But after admiring the scenery, my friends and I decided to go down one of the many trails on this mountain. After descending and feeling the adrenaline in our blood, we wanted more extreme sports. Finding ourselves on the same mountain again, I suggested taking a different trail, and everyone agreed.
When I went onto the so-called children's trail, I felt like I was in a fairy tale. Around me, birds were singing, there were cute benches and stone sculptures, little reindeer in a pen watching people pass by, and everything in a fantastically beautiful forest. All the trees were snow-white and covered with snow, as if nature had created them that way.
All in all, my vacation was the best ever. I rested, snowboarded great, visited a reindeer farm, and just had a good time. May everyone have such exciting holidays more often.
