Choosing a Cool Trick Scooter

Doubts don't arise for no reason – after all, there are many scooter models. If you go to specialized websites, you can easily get confused, not figure it out, and just leave, so it's better to prepare in advance. By the way, the citrus.ua website offers a huge selection of modern scooter models.

The main thing you need to know

One of the main points when choosing a scooter is weight. If you want to perform tricks – take a lighter one. And if you plan to ride in the park on a Sunday or commute to work (just in case), then it's better to look at heavier options – they are more stable.

Another point is wheel diameter. 100-110 mm is suitable for beginners, and 110-125 for those who have already fallen more than once, i.e., more experienced.

Wheels are also important. Solid ones look cool but are much heavier. Spoked ones are more familiar in appearance and light. There are also Honeycomb – these are both spoked and solid, i.e., light and stylish at the same time.

Wheel material

They are divided into spoked and cast, but they are almost no different – both are good. They are made of plastic and aluminum. Plastic ones are soft and light. Aluminum ones are heavier but stronger, as you might guess.

Handlebar

Height and width should be selected based on your own height and shoulder width respectively. Usually the standard is when the handlebar is opposite the waist or lower, and the width of the scooter is proportional to the shoulder width of its owner.

You also need to pay attention to the riding style. For example, if it's street – then high wide handlebars, and if it's just Sunday walks in the park – low and narrow ones.

And, of course, the deck size!

It's simple here: stand on the deck, place your feet diagonally (45-degree angle) and draw conclusions: if both feet fit and the toes do not overhang by more than 5 cm – the deck suits you. It all works on a simple principle: the larger the shoe size, the longer the deck.

And again, "street and park." If for street – choose a wider deck – they slide well. And if for park – take a narrower deck.

And finally: types of compression. There are four: threaded, SCS, KS, and HIC. Threaded is a budget option, suitable for beginners. However, not very long-lasting. SCS is expensive but reliable. The only system where the handlebar requires no cutout. KS is a rare system and not very convenient. But it's light and inexpensive. HIC is a light and very strong system.

This is, of course, far from all. There are many more nuances that we don't want to delve into today. In any case, the main criterion when choosing such a scooter is comfort. And if you want to raise the handlebar higher – raise it, ride, and feel comfortable, first and foremost.
