The main goal of the funded programs for 2014-2020:
* assistance for young emigrants in finding work;
* employment of legal emigrants (the primary task is to teach them German).<\/p>
In particular, the following areas are concerned:
- initial orientation of refugees in the socio-cultural areas of life in Germany;
- socio-educational support for refugees;
- basic German language courses for refugees and migrants sufficient for everyday purposes; assistance for children and youth in completing school programs;
- studying the interests of different target groups of migrants and refugees; training measures for volunteers to assist social institution employees, hospitals, and nursing homes; support for parents of minor children with advice and methodological aids regarding school homework.<\/p>
Funds for implementing integration programs allocated by the European Social Fund (AMIF) can generally only be received on a permanent basis by legal entities in the form of international or public organizations (juristische Personen des internationalen oder öffentlichen Rechts), as well as non-governmental organizations (juristische Personen des Privatrechts). The latter include legal entities that officially provide charitable assistance, participate in charitable events, organizations such as Caritas, church organizations, national and international non-governmental organizations, territorial associations, and territorial organizations.<\/p>
Previously, the European Fund allocated funds to projects only when the contribution of the applicant organization together with sponsorship and partner support amounted to at least 50% of the amount required for the project. Since 2014, the AMIF fund finances even integration projects where the financial participation of partners and sponsors is only 25%, and in some cases even 10%. Also new is the increase in the duration of integration projects at the expense of their number: projects lasting up to 36 months are welcome. If previously it was not allowed to 'carry over' funds provided for in the financial plan of an integration project from one year to another, such restrictions have now been lifted.<\/p>
In all cases, it is understood that funds for integration programs will not be used for personal gain, enrichment, or directed towards purposes not specified by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.<\/p>
The procedure for obtaining funds from the AMIF fund since 2014 is as follows:<\/p>
An organization wishing to receive financial assistance for carrying out a specific integration project must register with AMIF electronically (the registration application form is available at https:\/\/amif.bamf.de\/registrierung\/).<\/p>
After receiving confirmation of registration (usually within six weeks), the organization must submit its integration project (including its description, financial plan, names of partners, their financial participation, and implementation deadlines).<\/p>
