A country house or cottage is increasingly attracting modern people every year. An interesting paradox: the main advantage of country life, according to most, is the opportunity to breathe fresh air. At the same time, a modern cottage – insulated, equipped with double-glazed windows, built of brick or concrete – is a kind of hermetic sarcophagus, and fresh air is definitely not there.
Clean air – what is it?
“Breathe fresh air,” we hear this phrase so often that we have long stopped thinking about its meaning. Meanwhile, this concept has clear criteria that not every forest can meet, but cottage ventilation is quite capable of creating such conditions.
A normal microclimate implies the presence of air of a certain quality in the room. First, it must be clean, without any pollutants or dust – filtration is responsible for this. It must be at a certain temperature and contain a fixed amount of oxygen. A parameter such as humidity also matters.
Thus, it becomes clear that to breathe air of proper quality, it is not enough to simply move to the countryside and open a window wide. Only installation of ventilation systems can ensure the microclimate meets all standards.
Each room – its own air
Air masses in each living space contain an echo of our activities. In summer, ventilation helps, but what to do in winter? The solution is to install ventilation systems that can be located either in a specialized room or on the outside of the house. They can ventilate, cool, control humidity, and filter.
At the same time, it is worth considering that each room has its own specifics. For example, in the kitchen, a mass of odors concentrates, dirt and soot actively fill the air. Here you cannot do without installing exhaust systems that will save your home from kitchen aromas.
In guest rooms and living rooms, many people gather, so cottage ventilation will not be complete without enhanced air circulation in this room. The presence or absence of a fireplace in the room affects the microclimate. For various summer events, any room where large gatherings are planned should also be cooled, so an air conditioner must be connected to the ventilation systems. The same applies to bedrooms. And although there are not many visitors there, it is more comfortable to sleep in a room with cool air.
In addition to the main rooms, the bathroom also needs ventilation, as well as additional rooms – boiler room, garage, gym, laundry room.
