As reported by Lenta.ru, the exam will consist of 33 questions, each with four answer options. To pass the test, you must answer at least 17 correctly within one hour.
The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees has prepared 300 questions covering Germany as a whole and an additional 10 questions on each of the 16 federal states. From this variety, an individual assignment will be compiled for each applicant. The test costs €25 and can be retaken.
Only those who have lived in Germany for at least eight years and can support themselves financially will be allowed to take the test. On the other hand, minors under 16 years old, as well as sick or disabled persons who can prove their inability to take the test, are exempt from the exam.
Special courses for test preparation will be offered at evening schools and adult education centers. Prices vary. In Hamburg, a short course of 16 lessons lasting 45 minutes each costs €45, while a full course costs €141.
