In this list are Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cape Verde, Croatia, Georgia, Ghana, India, Mali, Mauritius, Mongolia, Senegal and Ukraine. 'These countries are considered reliable in recognizing human rights, and adding these countries to the list should reduce the number of asylum seekers in France,' Svistkov emphasized. According to him, the French side's decision does not mean that nationals of the above-mentioned countries cannot ask for asylum, but in each specific case they must clearly justify such a request, proving the existence of personal risks or persecution.
'Such applications will be considered within 15 days and will not give the right to reside in France during the period of consideration of the asylum request and to receive financial assistance for this period,' said Dmitry Svistkov.
