Ukrainians finance Poland's social insurance

The number of foreigners paying social insurance contributions is growing in Poland

“Registered citizens of Belarus – 36,000, and, for example, citizens of Moldova – 9,000. What is also important, more than half of the workers who came to Poland from abroad and are registered in the state social insurance, that is 350,000, work on a contract of employment. Only 20,000 foreigners run their own business. The rest of the foreigners work under an employment contract,” explained Wojciech Andrusiewicz.

As Polskie Radio notes, most foreigners are registered in three Warsaw branches of the State Social Insurance, as well as in two branches in Poznań and one in Wrocław.
