According to the document, the parties will jointly combat illegal immigration. The agreement will also apply on the territory of the Principality of Liechtenstein and in relation to its citizens.
At the request of one party, the other will accept any person who is a citizen of the requested party, or has a permanent residence permit, or refugee status on the territory of the state of the requested party. A mandatory ground for readmission of a person is the failure to fulfill or termination of fulfillment of the current conditions of entry or stay on the entire territory of the state of the requesting party.
In response to a readmission request, the requested party must respond no later than 15 working days. The requested party accepts persons subject to readmission no later than within a month from the date of reaching such an agreement, however, by mutual consent of the parties, the period for accepting the person may be extended.
According to the document, a person who has officially resided on the territory of the requesting party for more than six consecutive months is not subject to readmission. All transport costs associated with readmission and transit across the border are borne by the requesting party.
Within 30 days after the signing of the agreement, the parties will exchange a list of competent authorities responsible for the implementation of this agreement. Such a list also includes a list of border crossing points through which readmission and transit of persons will be carried out.
The agreement enters into force on the first day of the second month from the date the parties receive the last written notification of the completion by the party of the necessary domestic procedures. Each party may terminate this agreement at any time by written notification to the other party. In such a case, the agreement becomes invalid 30 days after the date of receipt of such notification.
