Convenient services where access to music is well organized and the interface is simple and pleasant are not that many. It was these goals that the creators of Tidido.com – the first large-scale project implemented in Russia – tried to achieve.
The site's layout allows its use from any device: it will be convenient to use from a tablet, personal computer, and even a smartphone. Access to tracks is absolutely free, and their number has already exceeded 30 million and continues to grow.
The tracks are quite diverse. Here you can find both an album by, say, Rammstein, and songs by Die Antwoord, which you can listen to for an unlimited amount of time – you won't get any surprises like «buy a license for 9,99» after a couple of tracks. A nice feature has become the thematic selections on the main page: chillout, positive, for sports, and others. There are 21 of them here, and all contain the most listened-to tracks in their genre.
On the left side of the screen there is a sliding panel with the site's personal menu. There you can view your friends' feed, add your own posts (with text, photo, and of course music attached), and also rate users' preferences in the 'Popular' section. If you like an album, you can save it with one click – it will appear in the 'My Albums' section. The same can be done with individual songs – the 'Favorite Songs' submenu will lead to them. For example, fans of American rapper Flo Rida can find his best works, including the most famous single 'Low'. You can also add any artist to your list of favorites: this will be displayed to other users and will also affect the content of selections in various genres.
The ability to create playlists is also present – you can compile them from any tracks available in the service. In addition, there is a convenient notification system: they show updates from friends, their new photo statuses, music, and messages sent to you.
At first glance at Tidido.com, it becomes clear – a team of professionals worked here, and a huge number of man-hours were invested in the project. In terms of overall ease of use, interface aesthetics, and features, this music network is one of the best among new products of this kind. Even if the idea and some solutions are not original, the creators had enough talent to combine them into a truly interesting product.
