Split systems – your lifesaver in unbearable heat

Split systems – your lifesaver in unbearable heat

The air conditioning system will provide comfort and coolness to your home

They are used in both residential and office spaces. Industrial climate equipment is installed in enterprises. But in this article we will not talk about that, but about split systems, their types, disadvantages and advantages.

Air conditioners in Donetsk in different price ranges boast low noise levels. And this is the main advantage of all split systems. They consist of two units – an indoor (silent) and an outdoor one, whose noisiness does not matter to you because it is located outside.

Speaking of types of split systems, we should highlight:

Wall-mounted split systems (in this class, the sales leaders are Samsung, LG and Midea air conditioners). A wide range of capacities, allowing you to choose a model for a room of any size, low noise level (about 26 dB), the possibility of installing a multi-split system – these are the main advantages of this type.

Column-type split systems, used for cooling large areas. As a rule, such air conditioners are purchased by entertainment venues (for example, night clubs), as well as restaurants, cafes, lounge bars. The reason lies in the difference of such air conditioners. The fact is that column split systems are characterized by powerful air supply in a short period of time.

Floor-ceiling split systems, mounted at the bottom of a wall or on the ceiling. The efficiency of this type of air conditioner is higher than that of wall-mounted split systems. In addition, the ability to install it in different planes of the room is very convenient. A floor-ceiling air conditioner can be almost hidden from view or, on the contrary, complement the interior of the room.

Cassette-type split systems, which are mounted behind a false ceiling. Such an air conditioner can be completely hidden from view, and only a pleasant microclimate inside the room will indicate the presence of the appliance. Air distribution in cassette split systems is carried out in four directions. Usually, such climate equipment is purchased by stores, including large supermarkets.

To summarize, let's note the common advantages and disadvantages of split air conditioners. Among the former, notable are stylish design, silent operation (which we wrote about at the beginning of the article), installation flexibility, ease of use and, of course, reliability. The high price of split systems (compared to monoblock units) is a certain disadvantage, but it is compensated by the main advantages.

Other disadvantages of split systems include, for example, that they are installed with dust: drilling holes in the wall, ceiling or floor, which is necessary for mounting the units. Some experts consider a drawback the special threaded connections used to join parts. Over time, they may start leaking freon. But, as experience shows, this happens very rarely, so it cannot be called a significant drawback of split systems.
