• Commission Conclusion. During the interview, the commission will prepare a report indicating whether the applicant has fulfilled all the necessary legal prerequisites for obtaining Romanian citizenship. Immediately after the decision is made, the applicant will receive a special written notification.
• Oath. Within 3 months after obtaining citizenship, the applicant must take an oath of allegiance to the country at the headquarters of the National Authority for Citizenship. During this ceremony, the applicant will receive a Romanian passport.
The process of obtaining Romanian citizenship takes about 1 year. The procedure usually becomes problematic when submitting documents independently, due to the prevalence of local bureaucracy and the language oath.
