Originally designed billboards will not go unnoticed

Externally, such advertising looks like a bright illustration with text of a certain content. It is placed on a 3x6 meter panel mounted on a stand. This rather original placement allows information to be seen from a fairly good distance. The perception of this advertising occurs entirely through sight, excluding hearing and the possibility of holding the product in hands.

Billboard advertising, despite its simplicity, is not as simple as it seems at first glance. After all, its composition has its own principles and rules, and this applies to everything: the text, its size and placement on the panel, illustrations, their sizes and placement. Everything is done in strict adherence to this genre, taking into account the peculiarities of human psychology, with its ability to perceive one piece of information first, the next second, and so on according to complexity.

Thus, billboard advertising should not have a "vampire" image that would eat up the meaning of necessary information, obscuring its content. It is also considered a mistake when text is placed on an illustration. Furthermore, the absence of a logo or trademark on the billboard panel is also considered unprofessional. No less requirements pertain to the content and writing of the text. For example, billboard advertising should contain no more than 10 words, since a greater number is perceived worse.

It is not bad if the headline already mentions the brand that produces the given product or service. The use of quotes or catchy slogans also serves as a basis for product memorization. It is not recommended to write information in cursive script, only in printed font, since cursive script contributes to poorer text perception and is even an irritant. Finally, billboard advertising should consist of a single whole: information and illustration; these two components should not contradict each other.

If all the above conditions are met, billboard advertising will be effective.
