Unlike conventional printer consumables, refillable cartridges (RC) have special openings for ink filling. Consumables of this type are intended only for inkjet printers.
Among the advantages of RC, along with a significant (more than 20 times) reduction in printing cost, a very long service life and convenient refilling should also be noted. In total, RC allow up to 1000 refills.
To fill the ink, you do not need to remove the cartridge from the printer – simply unscrew the cap on the top of the cartridge and then fill the container with ink. This work is easy to do yourself, which also saves on consulting specialists.
In addition, by purchasing RC for Epson XP-700 or another inkjet printer, you can print photos of decent quality, while the cost of each photo will be minimal.
Since RC are produced at factories of leading companies, they are highly reliable, and therefore can ensure high-quality printer operation. Moreover, unlike conventional cartridges, consumables of this type do not require the use of programmers or other additional devices.
However, when choosing refillable cartridges, their disadvantages should also be considered. These include, first of all, the possibility of ink spillage due to carelessness or inaccuracy. The capacity of RC does not exceed that of conventional cartridges, and compared to continuous ink supply systems (CISS), they require more frequent refills.
Finally, when using such cartridges, it is important to monitor the ink level to refill before the print head becomes "airlocked", otherwise the refilling process becomes significantly more labor-intensive.
