Proper website promotion: using texts wisely!

When filling out sections 'About Us', 'About the Company', 'Prices', 'Delivery', as well as product cards and basic information about offered services, companies count on the interest of the target audience. However, fulfilling these utilitarian tasks does not fully relate to website promotion.

By placing texts with key phrases and then buying backlinks to them, companies count on high positions in search engines precisely for these queries. However, that is not all the measures that can be taken for website promotion using texts.

What are they – real texts for website promotion?

First, they must be of sufficient volume. For a product card, 500-1000 characters are enough; for an article, 2-3 thousand characters; for a full-fledged review of products, brand, type of items – up to 5 thousand characters.

Second, the text should cover all the main points, convey clearly and exactly what the owner would like to tell the buyer. Imagine that instead of an online store, the owner has a regular store. And instead of an online media, a regular meeting with an average reader. What key points would it be important to convey in this case?

Third, texts must in one way or another contain information about the company. 'Large assortment', 'great prices', 'you can order from us...' – this is a road to nowhere, depersonalization of the text. Look, could this text be used, for example, by a competitor? If yes, then it will need to be revised, adding vital details specific to this resource.

And, of course, you cannot do without keywords. Competent selection, careful inclusion into the overall text, verified context (imagine that the text surrounding keywords gets into Top-1 – would you want to click on a link with these words?) – all this significantly improves relations with future clients.

So, let's summarize how to use texts in promotion wisely. A text that provides useful information, does not forget to tell on behalf of which company the information is provided, what specific offers you have on this matter (goods, services), competent and interesting – has every chance to win the customer.
