For an application for a visa for a stay in the Czech Republic exceeding 90 days, a foreigner must submit: A valid passport and a completed visa application form with one photograph. Another photograph. A document confirming the purpose of stay in the Czech Republic. Such a document is:
a letter from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Physical Education of the Czech Republic on granting a scholarship for full-time studies at a higher education institution with confirmation of accommodation for the period of study and stating the amount of the scholarship;
for full-time studies on the basis of an entrance examination - a letter from the higher education institution confirming the acceptance for studies in the chosen form;
for studies on a fee-paying basis - a letter from the higher education institution confirming the acceptance for studies in the chosen form and confirmation of payment of tuition costs, issued by the higher education institution.
A document on accommodation, if such an obligation is not contained in the letter of acceptance. In particular, the following is considered such a document:
confirmation of accommodation in a student or other public dormitory, signed by the director of the facility and stamped with the company seal;
a statement by a natural or legal person (company, organization) about providing accommodation to the foreigner, which requires the signatures of the owners of the property, notarized.
Financial means for the stay in the territory of the Czech Republic, if such an obligation is not contained in the letter of acceptance. In particular, the following is considered such a document:
confirmation of a scholarship granted by a higher education institution;
confirmation that the student is the owner of funds in the amount of 15 monthly subsistence minimums, i.e. 34,800 CZK, and for each subsequent month this amount increases by twice the subsistence minimum, i.e. 4,640 CZK, totaling 86,000 CZK. The funds must be in Czech korunas in a personal bank account or in an equivalent in US dollars in an account at a bank in the Czech Republic or a foreign bank. In this case, the availability of funds must be confirmed by an international credit card and a statement of the account (certified translation into Czech).
An extract from the "Register of Penalties of the Czech Republic" and a similar document of the state of which he is a citizen, or of the state in which the foreigner resides or has resided continuously for more than 6 months. The requirement to submit an extract from the "Register of Penalties of the Czech Republic" is considered fulfilled when the foreigner submits a request for this extract to the embassy and gives consent to its sending directly to the competent authority of SСРР.

Applicants for a long-term visa must submit an application in person to the consular department of the Czech Republic embassy. The visa processing time is approximately 2-4 months from the date of application (the legally permitted period is up to 120 days). The processing time for a study visa is 2 months from the date of application. The visa fee is $40-45. Payment is made in cash upon receipt of the visa.
