The color temperature of such a lamp is 4300 Kelvin, while a halogen lamp is 2800. When lighting, the color temperature is key. The Sun has a color temperature of 5000-6000 Kelvin. As can be seen, the glow of a xenon lamp is as close as possible to the solar spectrum, providing the most natural illumination.

A xenon lamp consumes on average 35W, with a luminous flux of 3000 lumens, while a standard halogen lamp with a power of 55W has a luminous flux of 1550 lumens.

Xenon, if not mechanically damaged, can last from 2800 to 4000 hours, while the guaranteed service life of a halogen lamp is only 100-500 hours. Compared to incandescent lamps, the xenon lamp is not afraid of vibration due to the absence of a filament. The xenon lamp heats up less than others; at a power consumption of 35W, about 7% of energy goes into heat.

At night or when the car has tinted windows, in snowy, rainy, or foggy weather, visibility is especially important. The xenon light emitted by the lamp significantly improves road visibility as it has an intensity 2.5 times greater than conventional headlights! The illuminated area also increases due to the wide light beam. Not only the roadway, but also the roadside with road signs and other objects are better illuminated. During rain or fog, xenon light does not create a wall of light; its rays easily penetrate the fog and illuminate not the fog or rain, but the road surface.

Xenon lamps have virtually no drawbacks, except for the high cost and the need for a special control unit. When replacing xenon headlights, it is better to replace them in pairs, because over time the lamp's emission spectrum changes; they turn white after 200 hours of operation.

Specialists warn car owners about the harm of using 'pseudo-xenon'. It has a beautiful blue glow, but has nothing in common with real xenon. The beautiful color is achieved by coating the bulb with blue dye and increasing power consumption. With painted lamps, nighttime illumination is worse than with simple ones – this can complicate road conditions. And with increased power, if water gets in, the glass may crack.

If a car owner wants to sell the car, the xenon headlights can be removed and installed on a new car, while the old one gets standard factory headlights.

A few years ago, xenon was installed only at the car factory and only for expensive foreign cars. Today, this process is much simpler. A car owner can contact a specialized company where, along with installing an alarm system, they can quickly and efficiently replace ordinary lamps with xenon ones.
