Buying a Ready-Made Business in the Czech Republic

In the Czech Republic, you can invest money in a ready-made business or real estate.

Business immigration specifically to the Czech Republic is worth considering for those who are looking for a foothold to conquer Europe, want to run their own business and be confident in the future. At the same time, one should not forget about the obvious problems associated with starting a new business in a foreign country. For this reason, many potential migrants consider not setting up their own company, but buying a ready-made enterprise or organization. Among the advantages of this approach are significant time savings, greater chances of obtaining a residence permit, etc.

Currently, any foreigner can buy a ready-made business or real estate. A store, an enterprise, a hotel, an IT or consulting firm – the choice is limited only by your financial capabilities and preferences, and having a Czech license allows you to do business throughout the European Union. In other words, opening your own branch in the EU is a quite manageable task.

However, buying any object for entrepreneurial activity is a complex matter with many 'pitfalls.' It is important to understand that no one will sell a profitable, income-generating business without compelling reasons. But if you browse Czech websites and print publications, you can see a lot of advertisements like: sale of a business in Karlovy Vary, commercial real estate in Prague with a turnover of 150,000 euros, or even 'two kiosks, due to moving abroad.'

Often, owners, intending to sell the business as expensively as possible, conceal important details, and the sale of a seemingly successful enterprise is explained by typical reasons: family circumstances, relocation, health condition, etc. If such a reason is given, one should be especially careful and play it safe by assessing the state of affairs from an independent company.

You should not hope to acquire an efficient enterprise either. Therefore, understanding of the field in which you intend to continue the ready-made project is necessary. In 90% of cases, significant efforts will be required to get things in order and achieve profitability. Fulfilling this condition is also necessary for other reasons.

Opening a company is not always a guarantee of immigration, even if it has real assets. The company must first of all operate. And for immigration service employees, it must be obvious that you are genuinely interested in developing the enterprise, and not just want to move to Europe by any means.
