The plastic shapes the figured edges of the packaging and prevents the shape from being damaged; various curls and locks can last much longer than cardboard ones.
The final stage is foil stamping and embossing, matte and gloss lamination, die-cutting, selective UV varnishing. These operations give the packaging a special effect and presentability.
