The Chinese have confidently moved to neighboring Russia
Of course, not all Chinese go to work in Russia, Australia, or America. Mostly, workers and their families from the north of the country, the poorest and most underdeveloped area of China, go. In the Far East, the picture is becoming frightening: today the worker is Chinese, the factory owner is Chinese, and the technician at the bus station is also Chinese. Soon, positions and professions such as administrator, manager and event host, as well as government officials, will be occupied by people from the Celestial Empire. But what to do? There are fewer and fewer Russians, and Chinese citizens can no longer be counted…
Uncomfortable living conditions in Russia do not scare the Chinese – it's even worse at home. Russians do not really care about preserving their natural resources: you can cut down forests, shoot fur animals, catch fish – the main thing is to pay for a permit to the right person. Not very many disciplined citizens from China come to Primorye who strive to receive a salary and comply with all requirements of Russian legislation. There is already its own mafia here, trading in contraband or prohibited goods, its own unwritten laws operate, and a business based on the sale of Russian raw materials has developed.
But, at the same time, Russia's own population continues to decline, despite all efforts by the government. This creates additional favorable conditions for the consolidation of Chinese in the Russian economy. And another characteristic feature of the nation – the Chinese always support each other and proceed primarily from the interests of their country. Therefore, every Chinese manager and consultant at an enterprise strives to attract as many of their compatriots as possible to managerial work.
Russia cannot go into open conflict with the Chinese by tightening migration policy. The Chinese are generally disciplined citizens, good organizers of events and sales promotions, quickly learn Russian, are polite, and do not seek to conflict with the local population. It is very important for Russia to have an ally in China that opposes American dominance in the world. China is needed by Russia as a strategic partner ready to buy fuel resources – gas, oil, timber – from the country.
Another important point – medium business in the Far East is poorly developed, and visiting Chinese quickly organize their own trading and intermediary firms, which turn out to be very profitable.
Thus, Russia today does not have the ability to limit or prohibit labor migration from China, although the real picture of the displacement of the Russian population, the gradual ousting of Slavs by Chinese in all spheres of economic activity, cannot but alarm the country's leadership.
