The European Union and the Environmental Protection Commission have advocated for environmentally friendly production. Therefore, since 2005, manufacturers have been replacing lead salts in PVC production with a composition of calcium and zinc, which is an entirely new standard and supports environmental purity at all stages of production and processing of the profile, as well as during window operation. In Denmark, Switzerland and Austria, a ban on lead has long been introduced, and manufacturers do not use these mineral salts.
Plastic windows are an environmentally friendly component for construction and interior design, with many advantages. The energy-saving and soundproofing function already justifies the choice of plastic windows. Durability in operation, no additional annual maintenance, adjustment of air flows, variety of shapes and designs, protection from dust and insects, affordable prices for plastic windows – all these are advantages of plastic windows.
Just think: noise, drafts, insects, additional care and financial costs for maintenance, coating wooden windows with paints and varnishes, short lifespan...
