Ritmix in Ukraine – new model RP-500HD player in a new store
Every day, the market for ordinary music players is losing its ground not only in Ukraine. More and more people express a desire to have a maximally universal device. The gadget should not only provide the ability to listen to music files, but also to view various video content, and in maximum quality and resolution, make calls, access the global information network, take photos, and so on. Among modern devices, only smartphones or tablets could handle such numerous tasks.
Under the pressure of demand and customer wishes (Ukraine is no exception), many manufacturers of media devices have taken two paths. The first is to release budget models (demanded not only in Ukraine but also worldwide), and the second is to release devices with the maximum possible functional characteristics. The company Ritmix, for the Ukrainian market among others, decided to choose the path of maximum cost reduction while maintaining wide functionality and high build quality.
In this review, we would like to talk about the appearance of the new generation Ritmix RP-500HD player, which you can purchase at the only official store in Ukraine, Ritmix Ukraine | Ritmix.ua, as well as about the gadget's display. The main features of the device include support for video files up to 1080p, a 5-inch LTPS display showing 16.7 million colors with a resolution of 800x480 pixels.
Appearance of the Ritmix RP-500HD player
First of all, I would like to focus on such a practical feature of this Ritmix player as the case material. It is made of metal, but its weight is only 162 g, and its dimensions allow it to fit comfortably in the hand. The design is maximally practical – the main part of the front side is occupied by the screen, and various ports and control buttons are located on the edges of the device.
The reset button, as well as a miniHDMI port and a MicroSD slot, are located on the left end. The player supports memory cards up to 32 GB. The device comes with a MiniHDMI-HDMI cable, which left only positive emotions from working not only with the player but also with other devices.
On the right side there is a MiniUSB port, power and headphone jacks. At the top of the case there are buttons for turning on the Ritmix RP-500HD multimedia player, entering the menu, and a small stylus that can be easily removed and held firmly inside. Working with the resistive touch display can be done with or without the stylus – it's a matter of taste and habit for each user.
On the back panel you can see only the serial number, model, and place of manufacture. Slightly closer to the edge is the device's speaker.
Display of the Ritmix RP-500HD player
The multimedia player Ritmix RP-500HD, presented in Ukraine, is equipped with a modern screen using new LTPS technology, has a diagonal length of 5 inches, displays 16.7 million colors, and has a sufficiently high resolution of 800x480 pixels. Viewing video material on this display is very convenient, with no graininess at all.
Thanks to the number of displayed shades, all colors are saturated and bright. Viewing can be done from different sides due to good viewing angles.
The resistive type of sensor (which indicates high sensitivity of the screen to presses) allows control even with gloves on, which is very convenient in cold weather, especially relevant for Ukraine in recent years. The included stylus can facilitate work with the device, but as already mentioned, it's a matter of taste.
Based on the results of the given (albeit very brief) review of the design, we can say that the model Ritmix RP-500HD, which in Ukraine can be bought in our official store, looks very decent for its price category and will delight every owner.
