Some apartment security systems can also be called perimeter systems. We are talking about protection against unauthorized intrusion through window and door openings. Means of protection of this kind include electronic locks, glass break detectors, and infrared sensors that create an invisible 'net' blocking the opening and giving a signal when the rays of this net are crossed.
