About OKI Cartridges

OKI's arsenal includes many innovative solutions that improve the ergonomics of cartridges

OKI Printing Solutions is one of the recognized leaders in the market of printers, copiers, and consumables. It produces printing and copying equipment of all types, with special attention to improving professional LED and dot matrix printers. OKI's innovative developments have taken matrix and LED cartridges to a new level of development and significantly increased their appeal to users.

OKI matrix cartridges are devices consisting of a plastic housing, a print head, an ink ribbon, a ribbon advance mechanism, and an inkwell. During printing, the ribbon advance mechanism moves the ink-soaked ribbon between the paper surface and the print head. The print head hammers strike the ribbon, leaving corresponding impressions on the paper.

OKI's innovation was equipping the cartridge with an inkwell, through which the ink ribbon passes to get moistened, thereby ensuring uniform print intensity. The intelligent OKI print head can recognize the type of paper media and independently choose the impact force. With a built-in thermal sensor, the print head measures its temperature and slows down the printing speed if it overheats.

OKI LED and laser cartridges consist of two units: a toner tube and a drum unit combined with a developer unit. When the toner runs out, the tube is replaced with a new one, while the drum continues to work. This increases the cost efficiency of OKI print cartridges and reduces user maintenance costs.

OKI produces refillable cartridges but encourages refilling only with original consumables. If the customer uses non-original ink or toner for refilling, the warranty on the device automatically terminates.

Original OKI toner, intended for refilling laser and LED cartridges, consists of perfectly even microscopic granules that are spherical in shape. The round shape of the particles allows for very high-quality, sharp, and saturated images.

Recently, users can buy OKI cartridges filled with low-melting toner, which is fixed on paper at a lower temperature compared to ordinary toner. Using such print cartridges reduces power consumption, prevents prints from smudging, and makes the equipment quieter.

OKI Printing Solutions runs a cartridge recycling program called "Get Rid of Old Stuff," under which users can return old used cartridges to the manufacturer and receive a discount when purchasing a new print cartridge.
