«Нашествие» – a festival of live communication
A few hours before the start of the real celebration for all rock music lovers of Kazakhstan called «Нашествие», a press conference was held, which was attended by the organizers of this event in Almaty and the musicians who arrived in the Kazakh capital.
According to the heads of «Нашего радио», which has been holding the eponymous rock festival in Russia for several years, all the groups listed in the poster arrived in Almaty. Some of them were setting up sound equipment on stage at that time.
As Alexander Ovchinnikov, a representative of the festival organizers, said, exactly ten years have passed since a similar event took place in Kazakhstan. It turned out that the interest of the country's residents in Russian rock musicians has not faded over this time, despite the fact that the poster of Pavlodar, Astana, Almaty and other Kazakh cities does not often feature the names of rock groups from Russia, as both local fans of this genre and Russian stars would like.
As noted at the press conference by the leader of the group «ДДТ» Yuri Shevchuk, his band prepared a special program for their fans, which included the universally beloved hits of this popular ensemble and new songs from the latest album «Прозрачный». It should be noted that «ДДТ» will be performing compositions from the latest album for the first time before a Kazakh audience.
According to Shevchuk, the group really loves touring in Almaty, although recently such an opportunity occurs less and less often. The leader of «ДДТ» likes the local audience, which responds very warmly to the band's work.
Journalists asked Yuri Yulianovich what problems concern him these days and what he wants to convey to his audience. Shevchuk replied that music should evoke positive emotions in a person, although rock and roll has always been a peculiar form of protest. In addition, the permanent leader and author of all songs of «ДДТ» noted that he is all for the existence of music of the most diverse styles, the main thing is that it has a soul.
Many musicians present at the press conference shared their thoughts about the military conflicts that are happening in the world today. As expressed by the vocalist of the rock group «Слот» Daria Stavrovich, musicians have always opposed war and violence. In fact, humanity is a large multinational brotherhood that should live in friendship and mutual assistance. She also noted that the festival «Нашествие» tries to convey only positive vibes to the listener and unite two brotherly peoples – Russians and Kazakhs.
According to the general producer of the company «1plus1» Daulet Alinov, «Нашествие» has always differed from many festivals featuring pop music stars in that all performers participating in it perform without using playback. Also, the festival organizers decided to present to the numerous public young groups from Kazakhstan, who worthily represented their country. Among such talents was the group «Aldaspan», playing ethnic rock using an electric dombra. It was they who brought a certain Kazakh flavor to this celebration of live music.
