Amid the economic crisis and rising unemployment, the state is unable to provide work for all foreign citizens. As Radio Prague notes, 738 foreigners have already responded to the Czech authorities' call.
As of March 15, 405 Mongols, 58 Uzbeks, 19 Ukrainians, 18 Vietnamese, two Moldovans, and one Russian are ready to be sent home. The promised compensation of €500 will be received by foreigners at the airport after check-in and passport control.
Recall that the Czech government's program for returning foreign citizens to their homeland began on February 16, and in the first week, 250 people responded to its offer. A total of 60 million crowns have been allocated for the project. The government believes that this amount will be enough to send home 2,000 foreigners who have lost their jobs.
