Any furniture should be tastefully integrated into the overall interior of the room.
Of course, the most preferable option would be to place dining tables in separate rooms – dining rooms, which are intended specifically for socializing. But in our age of small apartments, one usually has to make do with the kitchen or look for non-standard solutions. An interesting way out of the situation is a combination of kitchen and dining room, which can be achieved by demolishing the wall between the living room and the kitchen. A table with chairs becomes a kind of boundary between the cooking area and the living room. This is quite convenient not only because it organizes and arranges the space, but also allows guests and family members to sit around the entire table. The comfort zone around the table for each person sitting should be about seventy centimeters.
A round table is an outstanding piece of furniture. Not only is it beautiful and comfortable, it also attracts attention. However, for proper perception, such a table needs space. Near a wall, it won't look good at all.
If the space in the apartment is very limited and you have to eat in the kitchen, then the most convenient option would be a transforming table or a table with pull-out panels. An interesting solution is a table like those in railway cars: they also fold up against the wall.
Naturally, the dining table should match the entire ensemble of furniture in the room. If, as mentioned above, it is chosen as a room divider, then it makes sense to make a color accent on it to highlight this boundary between zones. The material can also be chosen arbitrarily. Glass dining tables are very popular. Such tables do not necessarily have to be made of expensive materials to look great. In fact, the top of the lion's share of these tables is very simple, and shaped legs add charm and sophistication. Caring for such tables is quite easy, but their surface is easily stained or scratched, so be careful with glass furniture.
Among creative individuals, the Art Nouveau style predominates. All kinds of colors and materials, eclecticism and compilation, appliqué and stylization – that is what distinguishes the dining furniture of this style. However, such ensembles are very demanding and make you take a responsible approach to the selection of accessories, as well as the overall decor and finishing of the room.
The classic style remains winning in all respects. Most often these are wooden tables and chairs. If you want more lightness and ease, you can pay attention to wicker furniture. But do not forget: any furniture should be tastefully integrated into the overall interior of the room.
