Compact drilling rig for drilling soft and medium rocks with interlayers of hard and medium rocks
Carrying water from a well, or paying for the services of a company with an industrial-type drill is not always reasonable – as a rule, the depth of water occurrence does not exceed 20-50 meters, and often is about 10-15 meters. In these conditions, it is reasonable to use mini drilling rigs – for a house, dacha, future cottage. Underground aquifers are reachable, since water spreads not through 'channels' but as a whole aquifer. This means that wherever you plan to drill, you will definitely find water!
Mini drilling rig is much lighter to transport, allows, due to its small dimensions, to detect underground aquifers and install your own wells even in hard-to-reach places – where transport with a conventional drill simply cannot fit.
Drilling is performed with flushing, that is, during operation the rig uses water to flush the formed well. This is the so-called hydro-drilling, which allows you to equip necessary tanks for waste water, assemble the rig itself on the site, in the basement of a house, in a garage, or in places inaccessible to other equipment.
Such a device can be transported either on a GAZelle or on a trailer with a regular passenger car. The actual assembly will take 15 minutes, and only two people are needed to operate the assembled drill.
A mini drilling rig can easily handle loamy, clayey or sandy soil, and if necessary, even layers of rocky ground.
The dimensions of the rig are small, and its operation is ensured by the so-called drilling effect using recirculated water. The pump sends water into the well through the rods, and through the hole in the drill bit it enters the soil. Thus, due to the rotational movement, the water washes more and more soil to the surface. The engine torque is transmitted to the drill bit via the rods, and such a device is powered from a standard 220 V outlet. This significantly distinguishes such rigs from more serious ones that require high power and access possibilities to the drilling site.
The average time to complete a water well is 10 hours, which can be reduced if a shallow well is needed and the soil is easily loosened.
