In order not to make a mistake when choosing the right equipment, you need to start from the cubic capacity of the rooms to be cooled, the design features of the equipment and, of course, your own financial capabilities. Today you can choose air conditioners in Kyiv or any other city for almost any room. The main thing is to understand which type of this equipment suits you best.
Thus, from the point of view of price, the most affordable are window air conditioners, which are considered full-fledged monoblocks, concentrating such key components as compressors, evaporators and condensers. You just buy such an air conditioner in a store, bring it home, install it in a window opening (this option is free from the store) – and immediately start fully using it not only in summer, but also in winter, since the latest versions of window monoblocks of the winter-summer category are capable of generating large amounts of heat using heating elements.
Only it should be remembered that window air conditioners still have two drawbacks – large dimensions and high noise level, since the monoblock is installed directly in the window opening.
The above disadvantages are completely absent in wall-mounted ceiling air conditioners, since they, unlike monoblocks, have a separate architecture – their outdoor and indoor units are installed separately. This technology allows both to sharply increase cooling power and reduce noise.
If the most powerful versions of window air conditioners have cooling capacity up to 8 kW (if more, they physically risk not fitting into the window opening), then wall-mounted ceiling air conditioners can have this figure up to 20 kW! The noise level of the latter is also minimal – no more than 40 dB even for cheap Chinese equipment. Branded equipment, especially if switched to night mode, can produce noise no more than 16 dB. That is lower than the background noise of the street!
For wall-mounted ceiling air conditioners, installation of a separate outdoor unit on the facade of the house is required, which can have a negative impact on the entire architecture. In the latter case, there is a good alternative in the form of a multisystem air conditioner, in which the number of indoor units can reach a solid figure (16-20 units), and a single compressor is installed either on the roof or in the inner courtyard. This technology allows delivering a precisely measured amount of freon to all indoor units, and the inverter compressor used will allow serious energy savings, since the latter, as soon as the temperature in many indoor rooms reaches the set level, will automatically reduce the number of revolutions.
Such a scheme costs quite a lot of money (you will need to connect many copper tubes and pump a precisely measured amount of freon into the system), but due to high energy savings, multisystem air conditioners can pay for themselves in a short time.
If none of the above air conditioners is suitable due to long installation, it is reasonable to pay attention to mobile air conditioners, which, like window units, are monoblocks. But unlike window versions, mobile ones are placed directly in the center of the room and can immediately work in normal mode – cooling and dehumidifying the air in a short time.
The only drawback of such air conditioners is the high price, which is offset by a light small case, the ability to start quickly, and the ability to work not only in summer but also in winter (the latest versions of mobile air conditioners with high efficiency are also capable of heating the surrounding air).
