Credit Noose Around the Neck of a Traveler

Problems with traveling abroad often arise for those who have credit debts

Bank branches are now in almost every shopping mall. Not just malls – at every step, signs invite us to come in and take out a loan «without problems» and «in five minutes.» As the number of such opportunities grows, so does the number of dishonest borrowers. People take out a loan and then simply cannot repay on time. And some even abandon any attempt to return the money they once borrowed from the bank.

Banks are not happy with this state of affairs. There is no way to fight each defaulter individually, as it requires additional staff and substantial funds. So debtors' cases are transferred to collection agencies or bailiffs, whose claims can only be dealt with by a qualified credit lawyer. After such manipulations, you can say goodbye to a good credit history.

Certain measures are also being taken at the state level to protect the well-being of lending companies. Debtors naively believe that they have been left alone, that no one calls them or chases them. But that's not the case. They face the fact that having debt prevents them from leaving the country. Can you imagine the situation: you are at the airport, with a tour package to the Turkish coast. And only when going through border control do you find out that you cannot fly. The reason is credit debt.

Bailiffs are empowered to restrict the departure of citizens who have unfulfilled financial obligations to the state or an organization. Lawyers had lengthy debates about this law, but concluded that there is no violation of human rights here. If you owe, please pay.

Note that this measure has proven effective. A large number of debtors were able to obtain funds to repay their debts, and did so quite quickly. The rest, who have not yet found the necessary amount, will have to do so in the future. Since the inability to leave the country is too great an inconvenience in the modern world.
