After such adventures, your team will become even more cohesive
The leaders of this type of corporate vacation are, of course, companies with joint management, or simply branches of foreign firms. In the first place are European companies (with Germany and Great Britain leading). In the second place are various travel agencies that kill two birds with one stone: they acquaint their staff with the country where they will send clients, and at the same time encourage employees to establish closer and tighter contacts.
Such trips usually take place to the countries of Saudi Arabia, Africa, and Indonesia. Finally, sufficiently successful companies can afford a joint vacation for employees in any country of the world.
The most effective team building occurs on islands or in mountainous regions, where a group of instructors works with the team. Such trips are conditionally divided into two types: the first aim at cultural exchange, broadening horizons, and the like, and take place in European countries, the USA, or Japan. The second are more reminiscent of a hiking trip and for them, countries of Southeast and Eastern Europe (for example, the Carpathians), Mediterranean islands, or the Alps are chosen. However, such an undertaking is easily accomplished in our country as well.
The main task that ensures the success of such an event is to infect a group of like-minded people with the idea, and through them everyone else, to tie everything to a holiday (for example, New Year is ideal for such ideas) and to finance a significant part of the event at the expense of the company.
The latter is very important, especially if you allow not only company employees but also their family members to participate. After all, few will refuse the temptation to visit a usually inaccessible place with the whole family. Moreover, loyalty to the company will increase not only among employees but also their relatives, which is no small matter.
It should be remembered that if your company is successful at home and your employees can afford a certain level of comfort, then during the trip it should be appropriate. Otherwise, everyone will think that the company is stingy with money for its employees. Of course, this is a difficult choice and financially challenging, but it usually yields the most effective result.
