Chinese technologies are gaining increasing popularity in the world
Personally, I always thought: 'Is there really someone who would wear these things?' And I was wrong – I saw healthy young guys everywhere smugly flaunting these 'branded' items. Well, to each his own.
The same story was with electronics – the Chinese made Pamasonik TVs, and now they make Nokla phones, which enjoy consistently high demand.
However, time does not stand still. Currently, along with many quality goods produced in China under license by genuine world brands, the country is also developing its own interesting directions of equally respectable quality. In 2010, more than 30 billion US dollars are planned to be invested in the development of innovative technologies in China, and that says something.
And even now, there are things in China of very high quality at very low prices compared to world prices. For example, Chinese phones that do not even have a loud name, their model is designated by a simple code (e.g., CVNB-2347) are produced at a decent level and with all ultra-modern features. Many of them have wifi, a built-in TV, two or even three SIM card slots, and even their own operating systems. These goods are sold with full warranty service for 12 or more months and rarely need repair or replacement during their warranty period.
And Chinese gadgets deserve a separate assessment altogether. I was surprised to see that on the world's largest trading platforms, residents of such developed electronics countries as Germany and the USA buy Chinese gadgets in large volumes. And not because of their low price – it's just that in their countries, such devices for civilians are practically not produced.
Take the so-called GSM bug, which is the shape and size of a matchbox and allows covert listening using an ordinary mobile phone from any place where it is left. Or car key fobs with built-in tiny video cameras and microphones. Perhaps these things allow people to feel like heroes of spy blockbusters, or maybe they really help protect their business or find out what is happening at home in their absence.
Whatever you say, the Chinese with their developments are attracting more and more attention from consumers in almost all countries of the world every day. They attract people with low prices and high technological sophistication of their products. Therefore, I recommend everyone to look at China a little differently – not as a producer of cheap counterfeits for the lower strata of the population – but as a serious and incredibly promising business partner.
