– For many years, we, citizens of the former CIS, believed that the best way to immigrate (especially to Canada) was to first come and work. Then, perhaps, the state migration services together with the employer would look at us, consult, and decide whether to grant us permanent resident status.

What is this due to?
– Until recently, more precisely before the crisis, Canadian employers attracted both skilled and unskilled workers through employment contracts. Work visas were issued for a maximum of 2 years. As a result, these same employers and the state faced a dilemma – people come to the country, but eventually sooner or later they return to their homeland, without actually bringing the companies and the country the benefit they had expected. Every two years, everything had to be done anew, and companies had to attract new people and retrain them.
All these nuances automatically disappeared after the introduction of new rules for the federal immigration program to Canada. The crisis undoubtedly also made its adjustments. It is these rules that allow Canada to attract those specialists who are truly needed by the country, with whom one can quickly and effectively find employment and become a full member of Canadian society.
I would also emphasize that if previously the procedure for obtaining immigration status in Canada took from 3 to 5 years, now the entire process takes from 6 to 12 months. For comparison: the procedure for direct employment under a work contract before the crisis took the same amount of time as the immigration process now. Today, it is almost impossible to enter Canada on a work visa.

b) education and work experience verified by migration services (without this, it is impossible to obtain immigration status);
c) the right to be legally in Canada for five years and work for any employer without restrictions, and after 2 years out of 5, to obtain Canadian citizenship.
Summing up all of the above, I would emphasize that the immigration program to Canada gives you the right not only to work but also to live fully in a civilized country, whose standard exceeds almost all global indicators. Moreover, this right extends not only to you but also to all members of your family. After two years of stay in Canada as a permanent resident, you and your family can obtain Canadian citizenship, and this is a significant advantage.
