How to Choose the 'Right' Printer

Experts advise buying printers with refillable cartridges

Some printers cost the consumer even more after purchase, because manufacturers produce original cartridges of their own brand that are only suitable for a specific brand of printer. Therefore, it is preferable to buy devices that allow self-refilling – for example, the Canon 725 printer, whose cartridge can be refilled multiple times.

Consider a printer with CISS (continuous ink supply system). This is a printer with 6 cartridges, thanks to which photos turn out closest to natural landscapes. It is possible to print photos without borders, and the edges of the photo do not bleed. You can print on CD and DVD discs; for this you need to buy printers with a white surface specially designed for this. Such printers are good for those who want to make money printing photos.

Keep in mind that for this you need to buy systems with continuous ink supply. They can be purchased as a set. Moving or relocating with such printers will of course be inconvenient, but considering that this is more of a stationary device, it is quite convenient and practical, and most importantly – beautiful and bright.

Another device worth attention is printers with refillable cartridges. The cartridge is replaced one at a time, not all at once. Do not forget to close the opening to prevent ink from staining the entire printer and yourself. Such printers are good for double-sided text printing. Photos can also be printed without borders, but as a rule, such printers use five colors for printing. There is also the possibility of printing on discs, but such a printer costs much less than the previous one. A paper cassette is provided, which also saves your time.

There is also the option of multifunction devices. It can be said right away that this is more convenient, practical, and rational. Such a device typically combines a printer, scanner, and copier. But if this device breaks down, everything breaks at once, meaning you will be left without a scanner, copier, and printer. However, such a device is usually not particularly good for printing photos, so it is used for copying or scanning documents. Some may find it more convenient to buy each device separately, but if you are not demanding and do not frequently scan and print magazine photos, then an MFP will suit you perfectly.

There are also printers with a built-in card reader. This is also more of a professional device intended for those who make money from photo printing. There is no need to buy such a device for home use, so you can easily do without this pleasant addition.
