How to Get a Good Job

By and large, employment is a vicious circle. The employer needs an employee with experience, but the employer does not want to provide opportunities to gain it in seven out of ten cases. This hidden reef destroys many attempts to get a good and well-paid job.

Determining the level of one's knowledge, abilities and skills is a priority task before starting a job search. This is where the first difficulties arise, because not everyone can adequately assess their own skills and the package of developed or acquired knowledge. On the other hand, many simply cannot decide what they really want.

Not everyone takes into account talent for work or activity in any field, and it is precisely this that can become a ticket to a new life. Only thanks to the talent of a potential subordinate, the boss will not pay attention to the lack or insufficiency of experience. Once this puzzle is assembled, it is necessary to proceed to solving the next question – this is the preferred work schedule and the amount of desired salary.

Next comes the turn for the resume. This is where a previously thought-out list of all skills, knowledge and talents, as well as needs, is needed. The resume for each individual employer should be focused on working in his company or enterprise. It is not worth making all resumes carbon copies, because each job has its own nuances and subtleties, which can only be identified by a special assessment of working conditions conducted by professionals. Therefore, the leading qualities in each resume should be those work qualities that are required by this employer and for this particular job.

How many vacancies to respond to when sending out a resume is a purely personal choice. Based on psychological moments, a person who responds to every offered vacancy simply does not know what he really wants. The manifestation of amorphousness in choosing a place of work will inevitably affect his attitude towards the actual work. Employers are not interested in such candidates. Sending a resume to two addresses won't do much good either. Consideration of a candidate can take quite a long time, and in this case there is a risk of delaying employment.

If a person is simply changing jobs, he has relevant experience and certain knowledge. At such a moment, it is important not to stay at the same level, but to use the chance to move forward. As a motivating psychological trick, you can use an increased degree of responsibility and complication of tasks; such a risk is not dangerous at all. It is much worse to get stuck at the same level without chances to move forward.

The moment of choosing and indicating the desired salary requires a competent assessment of oneself in the future job. This will allow the most realistic assessment of the amount he claims. However, the optimal option is to ask for a salary slightly above the average.

The last important stage is the actual interview. It is not yet a fact that the employer's choice will fall on this candidate, and therefore the latter should try not to make gross mistakes in the conversation and determine how comfortable future cooperation with the potential boss will be.

There are several risky nuances that can make an interview a failure. No matter on what note a person parted with previous management and colleagues, he should never speak badly about them, let alone condemn them. You should not overpraise your strengths, it is better to back them up with facts. Under no circumstances should you look timid and uptight - such a person is of no interest to the employer because he is not able to perform his job duties well. The candidate should radiate confidence in himself and his abilities.

Finding a good job to your liking with decent pay is never easy. But persistent and success-oriented people will always be able to do it, even if they are not lucky at first.
