When planning the installation of a gutter system, you need to decide on materials. Previously, drainage was made from tin, but nowadays there are many modern materials – steel with polymer coating and various plastics.
A gutter can be purchased ready-made. A semicircular shape with edges bent inward is considered convenient. Make sure there are stiffening ribs to protect against sagging under the pressure of ice and snow in winter. It is important to determine where the system will be installed and how long it should be. Do not forget that the width of the gutter should also match the parameters of the roof and downspout.
