How to Obtain a Certificate of No Criminal Record

Embassies of foreign countries often request a certificate of no criminal record when processing an entry visa

Important information about obtaining the certificate

Regardless of whether you are applying for a visa to a foreign country or going through an immigration process, obtaining a certificate of no criminal record always serves a specific purpose. On this basis, the applicant should know that this document can be issued in two types, differing in certain features and intended purpose. In addition, these certificates also have external differences.

For example, a certificate for traveling abroad has an embossed seal, which can be recognized by any state. Moreover, note that the form of such a certificate must meet the requirements of the country you are going to. In some cases, a notarized translation of the document may be required.

Required list of documents to be submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs

To obtain a certificate of no criminal record in Kyiv, as well as in any other city of Ukraine, you need to have with you:

– identity document (i.e., passport),
– identification code,
– completed application form.

It is important to remember that, like most urgent documents, a certificate of no criminal record has a limited validity period of 30 calendar days. After this period, the document becomes invalid.

Where and by whom is the certificate of no criminal record issued

You can obtain a certificate of no criminal record from the Department of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (they are located not only in Kyiv, but also in every regional center of the country), or from the Department of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The process of obtaining the document is approximately as follows.

1. First of all, you need to get a receipt to pay for the services. The payment amount may vary depending on the period of obtaining this document.

2. After that, taking your original passport and a copy of the payment order for the service, you need to apply for an application form.

3. After filling out the form, you can clarify the final date for receiving the ready copy of the certificate.

It is no secret that obtaining a certificate of no criminal record from the Ministry of Internal Affairs takes quite a long time (usually you need to wait at least 30 days). Therefore, if speed is important to you, it makes sense to seek help from specialized firms that, for a fee, can assist in the urgent processing of a certificate of no criminal record.
