How to Survive the Autumn-Winter Season Without Getting Sick

How to Survive the Autumn-Winter Season Without Getting Sick

A healthy lifestyle will protect you from illnesses and troubles

When preparing for the autumn-winter period, remember hats, scarves, gloves and warm shoes – these wardrobe items will protect you in cold and windy weather. It will not be superfluous to always have an umbrella in your bag, because in autumn the weather outside is unpredictable, and getting caught in cold weather with snow and rain threatens serious consequences.

Try to introduce more vegetables and fruits into your diet; together they will help strengthen your immune system, and in case of a virus, the body will cope with it faster if it has enough beneficial elements. Do not forget about vitamin complexes and dietary supplements, which are supportive preventive measures – they create a protective barrier in your body. Do not neglect folk remedies. Eat a teaspoon of honey a day, raspberry jam, drink hot milk, brew herbal tea – this is not only healthy but also tasty.

Ventilate the room whenever possible to allow fresh air circulation and avoid breathing stagnant and potentially dangerous air.

Follow basic hygiene rules: be sure to wash your hands with soap, wear protective masks if necessary, spend more time outdoors and less in crowded places. And do not forget to lead a healthy lifestyle, because a healthy body can endure illness better than one burdened with bad habits.

Pay special attention to protective measures at the workplace, because we spend a significant part of the day at work, and the risk of infection is higher. Therefore, ventilate the room more often, try not to communicate with colleagues who are already ill, and if contact is unavoidable, do not hesitate to wear a protective gauze mask – this will protect you from airborne transmission of the virus.

Keep an extra sweater or cardigan at the workplace that you can put on if it gets cold, thus avoiding hypothermia. Do not overuse various heating devices – they certainly warm the room, but they dry the air, and after a few hours you may feel unwell simply because you lack fresh air.

By following these simple rules, you will reduce the risk of illness, and instead of getting treatment or reading reviews of medications, you will enjoy the decor of autumn and the beauty of winter nature.
