How not to get sick in Bali

But on the other hand – high humidity and year-round high temperatures – this is a paradise for all kinds of microorganisms and bacteria, because of which a heavenly vacation can turn into a real hell.

How not to get sick during your vacation in Indonesia and on the island of Bali? We offer you a few simple tips.

1. First of all, don't even think about going to Indonesia without taking out medical insurance.

2. Secondly, you should not only remember but also constantly apply the second tip – wash your hands before eating.

During a vacation in Indonesia, tourists eat a lot. And this is not because appetite suddenly awakens, which is facilitated by active recreation in Bali. This is also facilitated by national dishes known far beyond the country. Eat to your health, just don't forget the second tip. Moreover, no wet wipes! Only running water and soap!

3. Third tip – do not drink local tap water. For hundreds of thousands of years, Indonesia has formed its own special microflora, which is very different from that familiar to European tourists. Moreover, do not wash your face or brush your teeth with tap water, no matter how luxurious hotel you are in. Use only bottled water, which is sold even in pharmacies.

4. Fourth tip for tourists planning to vacation in Bali or other islands and resorts of Indonesia – do not wash fruits or vegetables with tap water. Indonesia is full of various fresh fruits and vegetables that tempt every tourist. Moreover, they are not expensive compared to prices in our country. However, rinsing a fruit with tap water is the same as taking a couple of sips. And at least diarrhea is guaranteed.

5. If you have digestive difficulties, do not eat everything. And especially do not gorge yourself on unfamiliar dishes. A little bit of everything, so you don't have to spend your vacation in a hospital bed.

6. We advise all tourists in Indonesia to buy products only in large stores, not from hands or at local markets.

7. During your vacation in Indonesia, you should wear shoes, otherwise there is a high risk of stepping on some insect or animal.

8. Mosquitoes can ruin your entire vacation, and to avoid walking around scratched, stock up on fumigators.

9. Take a first aid kit with you on vacation, containing all the medications your body is used to.

10. Although there is no strict requirement to get any vaccinations before visiting Indonesia, it is still worth going to an infectious disease specialist. Then you will feel more confident and not be afraid of every spider.
