According to Jewish.Ru, every year several hundred foreigners — both adult applicants and their children — will be granted Israeli citizenship. This policy, in Poraz's opinion, will, on the one hand, make it possible to regulate the influx of foreigners and, at the same time, ensure them the opportunity to obtain Israeli citizenship, with each case being examined individually, taking into account humanitarian considerations.
Under the new policy, foreign workers who have suffered from terrorist attacks and are illegally staying in Israel will be able to obtain residence and work permits. Additional benefits will be granted to foreigners who have entered into civil marriage with Israelis abroad. Until now, they had to wait for entry visas for two months while being separated from their spouses, and this was preceded by a rather complicated procedure. According to the new rules, the entry of spouses into Israel will become possible after posting a cash deposit, and the couple will be able to arrive in Israel after a short period of time.
