Nova Scotia is ready to become a beacon for those wishing to move to Canada
To participate in the immigration program, you must:
– have studied for at least one full academic year in Canada and hold a certificate, diploma, or degree from a post-secondary institution recognized at the provincial level;
– meet the application deadline (no more than 2 years from the date of graduation from a Canadian university or college);
– be legally in Canada with a temporary work permit;
– have an agreement with an employer in Nova Scotia for permanent employment and full-time work in your field, and have worked in that position for at least three consecutive months.
The agreement with the employer must match the list of in-demand occupations under the Nova Scotia provincial program and meet the requirements for that occupation. The employee must receive a salary sufficient for further work and life in Nova Scotia, and a social package that meets provincial legal requirements.
It will be easier to find a job in Nova Scotia if you graduate from one of the province's educational institutions. As the "Parta" Education Center writes, most of Nova Scotia's language centers, secondary schools, colleges, and all universities are united in the EduNova Association. This includes 11 universities, 13 campuses of the provincial college, school boards uniting the province's secondary schools, 4 private schools, and a number of English language schools.

King's-Edgehill School. King's-Edgehill is the oldest private secondary school in Canada by date of founding. It has rich traditions and a high reputation. The school is very well equipped. All classrooms have smart boards. Admission is not easy; a phone interview and entrance tests are required. In addition to the provincial curriculum, it has offered the IB program since 1979. The school prides itself that its graduates have received scholarships totaling over one million dollars from the most prestigious universities. 30% international students.
Dalhouse University (DAL). Very strong engineering school, has an oil and gas track from extraction to processing. There is a two-year diploma engineering program after high school (like in a college) with the possibility of quickly finding a job. All accepted graduate students apply for scholarships (by March 15). Scholarship receipt is highly likely. They offer conditional admission, which facilitates visa acquisition. They do not have their own language program but work closely with language schools. If your English level allows, while studying in a language school, you can already take university courses and receive credits for them. This shortens the study time.
Nova Scotia Agricultural College. This is one of the national agricultural schools. Almost every province has its own agricultural institute. This one belongs to all adjacent provinces, including Newfoundland. It is easier to get into veterinary programs here, which is almost impossible in Ontario. Lots of scientific research. Master's programs can be obtained for free if you get into a research program that has funding. There are Russian students who have received scholarships (awarded in June). The school participates in all national and international scientific conferences. If a research program is approved by the provincial government and funds are allocated, new equipment is purchased. The school is equipped with research technology like a space center.
Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU). A university where the first Bachelor and Master of Public Relations program for scientific organizations was opened. Strong program in Applied Human Nutrition. On-campus work is provided immediately after arrival; after 6 months, you can work off-campus. There are many scholarships, and they are awarded for both bachelor's and master's degrees. It is very realistic to get one.
St. Francis University (St. FX). Ranked first five times in a row in Maclean's magazine for quality of undergraduate teaching. There is a diploma program – 2 years in engineering. You can finish, work, and then go into the 3rd and 4th years at DAL. 85% receive scholarships. 90% of students live in residence; the residences are very comfortable.
Acadia University. For some reason, it is not highly rated here, but it is a very good university for obtaining a bachelor's degree. Teacher-student ratio 1:10. They involve students in research work from the first years; by the 3rd and 4th years they complete research. They are proud that their graduates successfully enter graduate school at the most prestigious universities, because they teach research thinking from the first years.
