Illegals often offer miniature Eiffel Towers on Paris tourist routes

As reported by RFI, the network of illegal traders in copies of Paris's main monument consisted of three levels. Police managed to catch two traders who sold Eiffel Towers on the street, as well as four illegal migrants from Gabon who sold souvenirs in large volumes.

According to law enforcement, the Paris Eiffel Tower market is controlled by people from China, five of whom were detained. Most of the souvenirs were stored in three warehouses and five shops. Law enforcement also seized 5,000 euros in cash and three Mercedes.

According to Le Parisien, police managed to uncover a well-organized criminal network. To detain the traders, prefecture staff had to tap phones and set up surveillance on the suspects.
