If you have a good income, you can generally afford not to work for quite a long time or devote half an hour a day to work. But this is an ideal option. Approaching such an ideal for a trader means acquiring the necessary experience.
A beginner currency trader on the Forex market cannot make good profits by working half an hour or even two hours a day. He needs to spend a lot of time on theoretical preparation to clearly understand what a currency pair, futures, quotes and other elementary things are. Time is also needed to practice practical skills and test recommended trading strategies. And although this is a fascinating activity, a trader will need 2-3 months to learn the basics of Internet trading. During this entire period, his working day will last from 10 to 18 hours, sometimes even to the detriment of sleep and good health.
When a beginner trader gains sufficient experience and chooses a suitable trading strategy that brings at least an average profit, he can breathe a sigh of relief. His actions are now more professional and will more often lead to positive results. Such a mid-level trader is still searching; he is constantly drawn to currency quotes and cannot take his eyes off the screen, watching the current changes in charts. The working time of this trader approaches 6-8 hours, and it will take 6-12 months to achieve such a result. A working day of this length is already similar to a normal working day, which is well aligned with the capabilities of the human body and leaves time for rest.
After about a year, and sometimes a little later or earlier, the trader moves into the category of high-class specialists and can proudly call himself a professional. He has thoroughly studied all the nuances of the currency market and also knows how to trade, obtaining maximum profit and incurring minimal losses. He is completely calm in his actions. A professional will not sit watching charts for long hours. It is enough for him to log into his trading terminal several times a day, cast an experienced glance at the exchange situation, perform some actions if necessary, and turn off the computer. The working day will significantly shorten and will be no more than an hour. All the rest of the time, the trader can devote to any activities, including full-fledged rest.
