Electric fireplace – beauty and coziness in your home
So let it rain... Let it be evening... You feel warm and cozy from the electric fireplace in your room. Probably everyone would dream of such a heavenly corner in their apartment.
Since ancient times, people tried to preserve fire, which warmed, helped to cook food, and simply pleased the eye. That was when the first fireplaces appeared. Yes, primitive, but so necessary. Let's step into history. For example, what was it like in the Middle Ages? Made of brick, with walls resting on columns. And in Ancient Rome – a pyramid with columns in the center of a huge hall.
Time passed, people's need for a fireplace grew. People tried to improve it, make it more convenient and not so big. And in the 8th century, Count von Rumford created a fireplace that gave heat. It had a small firebox and gave off heat through the back wall.
At the end of the 18th – beginning of the 19th centuries, English architects D. Stone and R. Adam slightly improved Rumford's creation, giving the firebox a square shape. It should be noted that in the 19th century it was fashionable to install these interior items in one's residences, but the pleasure was not cheap.
Thus, developing, the fireplace has reached our days. Fireplaces of the 21st century are electric fireplaces. Convenient to install, easy to operate, relatively inexpensive and accessible to people with different income levels. There is a version that the first electric fireplaces were created in the 60s of the last century in England. Replacing the old ones, which were dangerous to light and only a few could afford repairs, came electric fireboxes. They were placed into fireplaces, thus creating the appearance of a live fire, which gave the necessary heat to the room, there was no dirt, no need to install a chimney.
What are the electric fireplaces of today? Probably even the most demanding consumer will find something to their liking. Well, today this interior item presents a lot of pleasant surprises. There is fire that frolics like real, and the emanating heat can be adjusted and heat a room up to 30 meters. And the presence of a thermostat helps regulate the temperature. It can be hung on the wall and admired like a living picture. Today there is even a fireplace for the "lazy" – with a remote control.
If you decide to get an electric firebox, you need to consider the following rules: install near the electrical network, mandatory gap for air outflow, and easy removal of the device for cleaning, troubleshooting that may occur during operation, away from direct sunlight.
That's all, all that remains is to purchase. Such a thing will decorate every home. Different in price, shapes and design – they will perfectly fit the interior, to long support the coziness of your home and the warmth of the family hearth.
